City of Laredo Guidelines for Tennis Facilities

Activity should always be in line with the Federal Government’s advised social distancing measures (defined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention).

• Members must sign in at the desk with staff.
• Must wear a mask when signing in.
• Limit activities to CASUAL playing.
• No practice or instructions by private coaches.
• No social gatherings.
• Wash your hands thoroughly or use a hand sanitizer before and after play.
• Players should stay on their side of court and avoid changing ends.
• Stay at least six feet apart from other players including when arriving at and departing from a court. Do not make physical contact (such as shaking hands or a high five).
• Use your racquet/foot to pick up balls and hit them to your opponent. Avoid using your hands to pick up the balls.
• Each Player should bring their own equipment.
• Keep participant numbers to a minimum, 4 per court
• Maximum of 6 Six Balls per court. When playing doubles, coordinate with your partner to maintain physical distancing.
• If a ball from another court comes to you, send it back with a kick or with your racquet.
• All players should leave the facility immediately after play.
• Limit of 1 ½ hours of play
• Reservations:
1. Court reservations can only be made by phone the same day at (956)-729-4600 or (956)-729-4610 by 4:00 pm. No advance reservations.
2. No individual may make a second reservation under another name (no double booking). Players cannot stay and play a second slot,
3. If a player has not arrived at the reserved court by 15 minutes past the reservation time, the reservation will be considered canceled and the court can be reassigned.
4. Walk-on play is permitted when no reservations are in force or there is a no show.
